Tango tanzen im Mai – im Schloss Laubegg

Grundkonzept
Eine einjährige Reise durch die Entwicklung der bedeutendsten Tango-Orchester – mit dem Fokus darauf, wie sich Klang, Rhythmus und Interpretation im Laufe der Zeit verändert haben und wie wir diese Nuancen tänzerisch verkörpern können.
Jedes Seminar widmet sich einem Orchester – von den frühen Aufnahmen bis zum reifen Klang – und unterstützt Tänzer:innen dabei, musikalische Geschichte in Bewegung, Verbindung und persönliche Interpretation zu übersetzen.

Zentrale Elemente

• Alle Workshops basieren auf Musikalität.
• Wir erforschen die verschiedenen Phasen, die jedes Orchester durchlaufen hat, und wie sich sein Stil entwickelt hat.
• Wir analysieren, was im Wesen eines Orchesters konstant geblieben ist und was sich über die Jahrzehnte verändert hat.
• Du lernst spezifische Techniken zur Interpretation jedes Orchesters und verstehst, wie sich Technik mit musikalischen Veränderungen wandelt.
• Spezielle Übungsaufgaben zur Vertiefung der Praxis zwischen den Workshops.
• Exklusive Zusammenfassung nach dem Seminar für alle Teilnehmer:innen.

 

Das Orchester: Juan D´Arienzo

Juan D’Arienzo hat den Tango nachhaltig geprägt. Sein Orchester wurde zu einer der großen gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Kräfte in Argentinien und trug in den 1930er-Jahren wesentlich dazu bei, dass viele neue Tango-Orchester entstanden. Mit seinem unverwechselbaren, treibenden Stil brachte er neue Energie und Klarheit auf die Tanzfläche.

Oft wird er als der Mann beschrieben, der den „Tango in die Füße brachte“ – und genau das trifft es. D’Arienzos Musik will bewegt werden. Sie lädt uns ein, Rhythmus im Körper zu spüren und mit Präzision, Energie und Freude darauf zu antworten.

In diesem Seminar erkunden wir, was seine Musik für Tänzer so kraftvoll macht: Puls, Akzente, Kontraste, Vorwärtsdrang und musikalische Interpretation. Es ist eine Einladung, klarer zu hören, bewusster zu tanzen und Rhythmus in Bewegung zu erleben.

Dancing Tango in May at Schloss Laubegg

Concept
A one year journey through the development of the most important tango orchestras with a focus on how sound, rhythm and interpretation evolve over time and how we embody these nuances in our dancing.
Each seminar focuses on one orchestra from early recordings to its mature sound and supports dancers in translating musical history into movement, connection and personal interpretation.

• You learn specific techniques to interpret each orchestra and understand how technique adapts to musical changes

The Orchestra Juan D’Arienzo

Juan D’Arienzo changed tango forever. His orchestra became one of the great social and cultural forces in Argentina and helped spark the rise of many new tango orchestras in the 1930s. With his unmistakable, driving style, tango returned to the dancefloor with new energy and clarity.

He is often described as the man who “took tango to the feet” — and that says it all. D’Arienzo’s music calls us to move. It invites us to feel rhythm in the body and respond with precision, energy, and joy.

In this seminar, we explore what makes his music so powerful for dancers: pulse, accents, contrast, momentum, and musical interpretation. It is an invitation to listen more clearly, dance more consciously, and experience rhythm in motion.
